history

After the abolition of patrimonial Střihov formed a municipality in the Poděbrady district from 1850 . In 1858 a two-class village school opened, which was given a new building in 1887 on the site of the village pond on the village square. At the beginning of 1961 Střihov was incorporated into Sloveč and at the same time assigned to the Okres Nymburk.
In the 1970s, not far from the village, the remains of a high medieval settlement were excavated through the Polabský muzeum . In 1991 the place had 134 inhabitants. In 2001 the village consisted of 87 houses in which 123 people lived.
