Dymokury was first mentioned in 1249. At that time it was owned by a Soběslav. In 1290, King Wenceslas II gave Dimokur, known as the small town ( oppidum ), to the Sedletz monastery near Kuttenberg . The monastery sold the rule in several parts. In the subsequent changes of ownership, Dimokur was no longer referred to as a town. In 1377 the fortress and part of the manor were owned by a Sezema from Břiště, and another part was owned by Jacob from Dimokur. In 1414 Václav Jakob, called Lacembok, and Zdislav von Záhořan were the owners. After several short-term owners, it came in 1463 as a fiefdom from the Bohemian King George of Podebrady to Johann Křynecký von Ronow . He united the two parts of Dimokur into one rule, which passed into the possession of Zdeněk von Waldstein in 1573 . His widow Maria extended the rule to Městec Králové . In 1607 her son Adam d. J. von Waldstein from Jaroslav Borsita von Martinic , his sister Isolde and her husband Friedrich von Donin the Veltruby and Běrunice estates ; he linked them with the Dimokur reign. Adam von Waldstein and his brothers sold Dimokur in 1614 to Albrecht Jan Smiřický von Smiřice , who had the fortress rebuilt into a Renaissance fort. After his death in 1618 his sister Margareta ( Markéta ), married Slawata , inherited Dimokur, but lost it after the battle of the White Mountain , since all Smiřický possessions were confiscated by the emperor. Albrecht Wallenstein acquired the property in 1620, but sold it a year later to Johann Eusebius Khuen von Belasi , who was followed in 1625 by his daughter Franziska Pálffy von Plassenstein. Field Marshal Wilhelm Lamboy von Cortesheim acquired it from her . His son Johann de Lamboy († 1669) sold the Veltruby estate in 1666 to Adam Jaroslav Schofmann from Hemrles on Konárovice . In 1673 Johann's sister Anna Franziska de Lamboy sold the Dimokur estate to Count Ludwig Colloredo- Wallsee. This year belonged to the basic rule : the castle, a brewery, 13 farms, 5 mills, 102 fish ponds, 30 villages and the town Městec Králové. Under the Counts of Colloredo, a three-wing baroque palace was built on the site of the fortress. They made great contributions to the education of their subjects, built an extensive castle library and founded an orphanage. In 1757 Dimokur, which until then belonged to the Königgrätzer Kreis , became part of the Bidschower Kreis . In 1788 there were 576 inhabitants in 94 houses in Dimokur. In 1833 the Dimokur manor came into the possession of the Counts Czernin von Chudenitz through marriage, who owned the castle and large estates here until the expropriation in 1945.

In 1850 Dimokur belonged to the Městec Králové district, from 1868 to the Poděbrady district . In 1878 Dimokur received a railway connection on the Křinec - Městec Králové line. In 1879 a school building for five classes was built. In 1960 Dimokur was incorporated into the Nymburk district.

Although Dimokur was the center of the manor of the same name for centuries, it did not achieve city status.
