Košík (German Koschik ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 16 kilometers northeast of Nymburk and belongs to the Okres Nymburk .
geography
Košík is located by the Sovoluský creek on the East Bohemian Table. The hill Ostrá hůrka (287 m) rises to the northwest.
Neighboring towns are Malý Košík and Tuchom in the north, Nová Hasina in the north-east, Stará Hasina and Podolí in the east, Rožďalovice , Zámostí and Podlužany in the south-east, Alexandrov and Doubravany in the south, Mcely in the south-west, Prachovna and Seletice in the west and Sovolusky in the north-west.
history
The village was first mentioned in writing in 1420.
After the abolition of patrimonial Košík formed from 1850 a district of the municipality of Tuchom in the Jičín district . In 1897 the political municipality Košík was established. Since 1961 the municipality belongs to Okres Nymburk , at the same time Seletice, Sovolusky, Tuchom and Doubravany were incorporated. In 1990 Seletice broke up again.

The municipality Košík consists of the districts Doubravany ( Doubrawan ), Košík ( Koschik ), Sovolusky ( Sowolusk ) and Tuchom as well as the localities Alexandrov ( Alexanderhof ) and Malý Košík ( Klein Koschik ).
