Oseček (German Klein Wossek , also Woseczek ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers southeast of Poděbrady and belongs to the Okres Kolín .
geography
Oseček is located above the confluence of the Cidlina on the left bank of the Elbe on the East Bohemian Table. State road 38 between Nymburk and Kolín runs through the village . To the east lies the Libický luh alluvial forest, which has been declared a nature reserve, in the Elbe meadows, and to the northwest, the Oseček dune. To the north runs the route of the D 11 / European route 67 , in the northeast is the exit 39 Poděbrady-jih . The tracks of the large Velim experimental ring run west of Oseček . In the east there is a ferry connection to Velký Osek .
Neighboring towns are Sanspareil and Choťánky in the north, Libice nad Cidlinou in the northeast, Na Přívoze and Velký Osek in the east, Veltruby in the southeast, Pňov in the south, Klipec in the southwest, Sokoleč in the west and Kluk in the northwest.
history
The first written mention of the fishing village located in the left Elbe was in 1227. Since the 16th century, the village belonged to the Poděbrady rule .
After the abolition of patrimonial Voseček / Klein Wossek formed a municipality in the Poděbrady district from 1850. In 1952 the river regulation work on the Elbe was completed. Since January 1st, 1961 the parish has belonged to Okres Nymburk. In 1963, the Velim experimental ring to the west of the village was put into operation. In 1980 Oseček was incorporated into Pňov-Předhradí . The community has existed again since 1992.

No districts are designated for the municipality of Oseček. The right Elbe settlement Na Přívoze ( Überfuhr ) belongs to Oseček .
