history

The first written mention took place in 1013, when Duke Oldřich held his brother Jaromír prisoner at the royal court Lyssa and had him emasculated. After Jaromír fell again in 1034, he was blinded by Oldřich in Lysá and murdered the following year. As a reward, his murderer Mutiš received the Lysá farm. 1052 gave Břetislav I. Lysá to the cathedral chapter of St. Wenceslas in Stará Boleslav, which he founded .

After Queen Guta von Habsburg had united the settlements of the Lyssa estate located at the southern foot of the Viničky on March 4, 1291, a distinction was made between Lysá Stará and Nová Lysá . The "antiqum forum Lyssa" had market rights, but lost more and more importance when in 1293 the administration was moved to Nová Lysá.

At the beginning of the 16th century, the Mlynařice near Stará Lysá was dammed into a large fish pond. The dam built by Jakob Krčín from Jelčany divided the village into two parts: Pahůrek and Ves. This was followed by a second pond with the Hladoměř built around 1530. This was drained in the 18th century. In the middle of the 19th century, the Starolyský rybník dam broke and its areas also turned into meadows. On the site of the desert village of Osová, the settlement of Hieronymites was established in 1790 below the Bon Repos Castle.

After the abolition of patrimonial Stará Lysá formed with the district Čihadla from 1850 a municipality in the district of Jung Bunzlau . In 1949 the community came to Okres Nymburk .
