history

Stratov was founded under German law on November 8, 1357 by Puta the Elder of Častolowitz , who inherited the Mydlovar lordship in 1346 after the Kostomlat family had died out. The village was created by clearing the Doubrava forest.

In the 15th century the lords of Kunstadt and Podebrady became the owners of the village. They were followed by Jan Smiřický von Smiřice , from 1495 the Oberstlandkämmerer Johann von Schellenberg († 1508) and from 1509 Friedrich von Dohna . After the class uprising against the Habsburgs, Borek von Dohna had to sell the Kostomlaty reign with all its accessories in 1548 to Ferdinand I for 12,000 Meißniche shock . The Bohemian Chamber joined the rulership of the Prerau Chamber of Commerce , with the taxes to be paid in Lyssa . In 1553 the village consisted of 20 properties and one Kretscham . In 1647 the crown sold the rule to Johann von Sporck , after his death his son Franz Anton von Sporck inherited the property in 1679. Then the goods belonged to the Barons Sweerts-Sporck until 1851. Then Princess Stefanie Rohan acquired the property.

After the abolition of patrimonial Stratov formed a municipality in the Mladá Boleslav district from 1850 . The Stratov cemetery was consecrated in 1894. Since 1949 the community belongs to Okres Nymburk.
