history

Jazenice was mentioned for the first time in 1088 in the charter of the cathedral chapter on Vyšehrad , when Vratislav II left the farmyard and the smithy to the chapter. The place name has been documented as Jessenyk since 1352 . At the beginning of the 15th century the distinction was made between Gesenik Weliky (Jeseník) and Gesenik Maly (Jeseníček). Jeseník formed the eastern part, Jeseníček was a small settlement in the west of the village. Jeseník belonged to various noble families. They included the Lords of Adlar and, in the 16th century, the Křinecký of Ronov. These connected the Jesenik estates to the Ronow rule. Later, the unification of Ronow and Křinec to one rule took place. Jesenik was the parish for Oskořínek, Ronov, Nový Dvůr and Jíkev. After the Battle of the White Mountain , Albrecht von Waldstein bought the goods and soon sold them again. During the Thirty Years War the village was devastated and the parish became extinct. After the war, a village school was established in Jesenik and the parish was looked after by the Dominicans from Nymburk . At the end of the 17th century, the Counts of Morzin bought Křinec and the associated villages. In the course of the Josephine reforms, the Jeseník estate was parceled out. A new dead straight road was built from the village square to the church, along which a row of chalets was laid. Jeseník and Jeseníček also merged into one unit at this time. In the years 1793 to 1794, the rectory was rebuilt and a pastor was appointed.

After the abolition of patrimonial rule , the municipality of Velký Jeseník in the Poděbrady district was established in 1850 , also known as Hrubojeseník and from the end of the 19th century as Jeseník . In 1916 the official name Hrubý Jeseník was introduced. In 1934 the municipality was assigned to Okres Nymburk . In 1980 Hrubý Jeseník was incorporated into Oskořínek . The community has existed again since 1992.
