history
Archaeological finds show the first settlement in the period between 5000 and 3000 BC. The first written mention comes from 1437. According to legend, the Seletický ze Smojma built a castle here and founded the village. However, it is more likely that the village was founded by the Selety family. Other owners of the village included Jan Košík from Lomnitz and after 1450 Jan Křinecký from Ronov auf Křinec , who joined the village to the Kunstberg domain. In 1575 Heinrich von Waldstein acquired Kunstberg and the associated villages on Dobrovice .
After the abolition of patrimonial Seletice formed a municipality in the Jičín district from 1850 . After the First World War, the population began to decline. In 1961 the village was incorporated into Košík and at the same time came to Okres Nymburk . The community has existed again since 1990. A large part of the chalets in Seletice are now used as holiday homes.
