history

The first written mention of Trebestowicz took place in 993 in the founding deed of the Břevnov monastery , when Boleslav II and Adalbert of Prague left the village together with Mračenice to the Benedictine monastery. John of Luxembourg released the residents of Třebestovice and other villages of the Poděbrad Gaus in 1328 various compulsory labor. During the Hussite Wars , the village was torn from the spiritual property and came under the rule of Podebrady. In 1442 Georg von Podebrady sold the fortress Třebestovice to the Poříčan miller Beneš, who converted it into a mill. Jakob Krčín from Jelčany built the mill . In 1580 Rudolf II pledged the village to Jaroslav Smiřický of Smiřice and redeemed it again in 1581. Together with the Chamber of Commerce Přerov , Třebestovice was added to the Chamber of Commerce Brandeis in 1621 . In 1640 the Swedish army under Johan Banér moved through the area and set fire to it. In 1778 the troops of Frederick II of Nymburk moved across the Elbe and set up camp near Třebestovice. Until the 19th century Třebestovice was also affected by Elbe floods, as one of the river arms ran near the village.

After the abolition of patrimonial Třebestovice formed from 1850 a municipality in the Český Brod district . After the Battle of Königgrätz in 1866 another 8,000 Prussians camped around Třebestovice under General Rosenberg. In 1882 the railway line from Poříčany to Nymburk was built . In 1897 the Šembera, which was then called Černavka ( Schwarzbach ) in this part , was regulated. The work and the bridge construction were carried out by Italian workers. In 1961 the community came to Okres Nymburk . Esko Prague has been serving the Třebestovice station on the S12 Poříčany – Nymburk line since 2007 .
