history
In 1777, in the course of the raabization, the repopulation of the area on Oškobrh , which at that time was called Vlkovský kopec / Wolfsberg , began. The villages Srbetz ( Srbce ), Wolfsberg, Lustdorf and Hermannsdorf were built around the mountain .
The settlement, laid out as a street village north below the pilgrimage church of St. Peter and Paul, was named after the mountain. In 1782 the church was abolished in the course of the Josephine reforms and in 1786 partially demolished. In the following year, a farmer from Wolfsberg bought the remains of the chapel together with the pastures from Odřepsy. After the Podiebrad rulers had reacquired the church ruins in 1798, they had them converted into a Hegerhaus .
After the abolition of patrimonial formed Vlkov / Volfsberk / Wolfsberg from 1850, a municipality in the district Poděbrady . In 1948 the community name was extended to distinguish it from another nearby village Vlkov with the addition of pod Oškobrhem . On January 1, 1961, the community came to Okres Nymburk.
