Lindsey Carmichael (born July 22, 1985 ) is an American archer .

Carmichael, who has McCune-Aulbright Syndrome , started as an archer in the regular division in 1998 and has also been active in the handicapped sports division since 2003 . In 2004 in Athens she was able to set a new world record in qualifying, but in the final she only achieved sixth place after a head-to-head race. In 2006 she was on the US team at the World University Archery Championships in Viničné , Slovakia . In 2008 in Beijing , she won a bronze medal in archery in the Recurve (ST) discipline.

Carmichael lives in the Austin , Texas area with her family . She is studying English and History at the University of Texas .
