After the abolition of patrimonial Dobčice formed from 1850 with the district Libněves a municipality in the Poděbrady district . In 1903 the road to Žehuň was built. Since 1920 the place has been called Dobšice . The cemetery was established in 1924. On January 1, 1961, the community came to Okres Nymburk. In 1988 a new bridge was built over the Cidlina.
