history

The village was probably established near a farm belonging to the Oldříš Castle , where wind chimes ( chrti ) were bred for hunting by the Přemyslid dukes . The first written mention of Chirczicze came in 1361 as a property of the Prague Chapter. From 1417 Chrčice belonged to the monastery on the Zderaz . In 1553 King Ferdinand I acquired the village and gave it to the Podebrady rulership .

In 1833 the rustic village of Chrtschitz or Chrčice , located in the Bidschower district , consisted of 40 houses in which 283 people, including 14 Protestant and one Jewish family, lived. Chrtschitz was the seat of the Chrtschitz or Upper Court, whose district comprised the villages of Chrtschitz , Domanowitz , Radowesnitz , Lipetz and Boschek . The parish was Wohař . Until the middle of the 19th century, Chrtschitz remained subordinate to the kk cameraman Podiebrad.

After the abolition of patrimonial Chrčice formed a municipality in the judicial district of Chlumetz from 1849 . In 1854 the municipality name was changed to distinguish it from the nearby Chrčice Labské in Chrčice Polish , at the same time Dománovice was incorporated. From 1868 the municipality belonged to the Neubydžow district . In 1869 Chrčice Polní had 331 inhabitants and consisted of 50 houses. The official names Polní Chrčice or Poděbradské Chrčice have been used since the 1870s . In 1878 a village school was opened in Polní Chrčice, until then lessons were held in Ohaře . Dománovice broke away from Polní Chrčice in 1886 and formed its own municipality. The volunteer fire brigade was founded in 1896. In 1900 there were 364 people in Polní Chrčice, compared to 350 in 1910. By order of the Linguistic Commission in Prague from 1920 only the place name Polní Chrčice was used. In 1930 Polní Chrčice had 345 inhabitants. In 1960 the municipality was assigned to the Okres Kolín . In 1961 it was incorporated into Ohaře. Since July 1, 1990, the municipality of Polní Chrčice exists again. At the 2001 census, 144 people lived in the 85 houses in Polní Chrčice. The municipality has had a coat of arms and a banner since 2014.
