history

The village probably originated in the 12th or 13th century. A Slawata de Domanowicz and 1378 Jaroslav z Dománovic , who probably had their seat in Dománovice, were first mentioned in writing in 1371 and 1373 . The first written mention of the village comes from the year 1386. At the beginning of the 16th century the Lords Slavata von Chlum and Koschumberg bought the estate and united it with Radovesnice . Diviš Slavata von Chlum and Koschumberg was one of the leaders of the class uprising against King Ferdinand I in 1547 and lost his property after the uprising was put down. From 1552 Jan Klusák von Kostelec owned the Radovesnice estate, from 1572 it belonged to Bernard Dobrženský von Dobrženitz . After Ondřej Klusák's death, his sons divided the Radovesnice and Lipec estates between themselves in 1590 . In 1607, Mikuláš Klusák von Kostelec sold the Radovesnice estate to King Rudolf II , who united it with the Podebrady dominion .

In 1833, the rustic village of Domanowitz in the Bidschower Kreis consisted of 18 houses in which 115 people, including three Protestant families, lived. Domanowitz was one of the five villages of the Chrchitzer or Upper Court. The parish was Wohař , and the children attended school in Radowesnitz . Until the middle of the 19th century, Domanowitz remained subordinate to the kk cameraman Podiebrad.

After the abolition of patrimonial Domanovice formed from 1849 a municipality in the judicial district of Chlumetz . In 1854 the village was incorporated into Polní Chrčice . From 1868 Domanovice belonged to the Neubydžow district . In 1869 Domanovice had 165 inhabitants and consisted of 25 houses. Domanovice broke away from Polní Chrčice in 1886 and formed its own municipality. In 1900 there were 216 people in Domanovice ; in 1910 there were 236. The volunteer fire brigade was founded in 1926. In 1930 Domanovice had 234 inhabitants. In 1960 the municipality was assigned to the Okres Kolín . In 1961 it was incorporated into Ohaře . In 1969 the place name was changed to Dománovice . Since July 1, 1990, the Dománovice municipality has existed again. In the 2001 census, 132 people lived in the 54 houses in Dománovice. The municipality has had a coat of arms and a banner since 2015.
