history

The first written mention of the village was in 1292. Tatce, like neighboring Milčice , belonged to the possessions of the chapter on Vyšehrad . At that time there was a fortress in Tatce and a yard belonged to the Sázava monastery . The Vyšehrad provost Johann, an illegitimate son of Ottokar II Přemysl , sold 180 acres of land in Kamenný Most and acquired the village of Vrbčany , which he attached to the estate in Tatce and made it his seat. In 1317 mercenaries of King John invaded Tatce and took the fortress. Provost Johann II tried in vain to get the goods back together with his half-sister Elisabeth or to receive money for them. In 1322 the king had his step-brother-in-law arrested, who fled to Bavaria a day later, whereupon Johann confiscated all his property. In 1324 Johann II was pardoned after the use of Abbot Matthias of the St. Prokop Monastery and got his property back.

Abbot Matthias had been given the Tatce monastery property by the king free of charge in 1321, but had to pledge the Tatce fortress with the villages of Vrbčany, Břežany and Tatce to the land clerk Stephan von Tetín in 1326 . In 1356 Charles IV confirmed the possession of the fortress and the village of Tatce to the provost on Vyšehrad. In 1421 the Prague Hussites occupied Tatce and handed over the fortress and the village to their field captain Václav Cardov von Petrovice. In 1436 Emperor Sigismund sold Tatce and Vrbčany to Jan Kralovský von Kralovice († 1454). His heirs left the property to Jan von Vyšehořovice. After his death Tatce fell back to the Bohemian Crown and Vladislav II handed over the goods to the Chancellor Colonel Johann von Schellenberg and Heinrich von Kosteletz, who shared the property. Schellenberg received Vrbčany and from Kosteletz the fortress and the village of Tatce. Schellenberg, who had also acquired Tatce before 1500, connected the goods to the Přerov rule . In 1524 Přerov sold his heir Heinrich von Schellenberg together with all accessories to Prague's Old Town and New Town . After the division of property in 1527, Tatce belonged exclusively to the old town. Because of their participation in the anti-Habsburg uprising, their goods were confiscated by Ferdinand I in 1547 and Přerov came to the royal chamber property . In 1601 Maria Magdalena von Lobkowicz received Tatce as a fief to secure a loan that she granted to the war chest. In 1608 Rudolf II inherited the village to her husband, Jan Rudolf Trčka from Lípa auf Kounice . Trčka sold Tatce in 1616 to Charles the Elder Záruba von Hustířan on Radim . Until the abolition of patrimonial Tatce remained part of the Radim rule. In 1778 the village consisted of 35 houses. In 1843, 464 people lived in the 61 houses of Tatce.

In 1845 the Emperor Ferdinand's Northern Railway from Vienna via Olomouc to Prague was completed north of the village . After the abolition of patrimonial Tatyce formed a community in the Kolín district from 1850 with the single class Cihelna. In 1854 Tatce had 468 inhabitants and in 1890 the village consisted of 91 houses in which 787 people lived. In 1949 the community came to Okres Český Brod and in 1961 to Okres Nymburk . On January 1, 2007 Tatce returned to Okres Kolín . Since 2007 the Tatce station near Milčice has been served by Esko Prague on the S1 Praha Masarykovo nádraží - Kolín line.
