history
Tuchoraz was first mentioned in writing in 1295. That year it had a fortified yard belonging to a Litoš from Tuchoraz. A stone fortress was probably built at the beginning of the 15th century , which was owned by the Frauenberg burgrave Nikolaus von Landstein in 1463 . Under King John of Luxembourg he held several court and state offices and arranged for the fortress to be converted and expanded into a fort . This and the town of Tuchoraz were recorded in the Bohemian land table in 1541 . At that time it belonged to the Donin's Bořivoj . Since he was actively involved in the Estates rebellion of 1547, he was placed under house arrest after its suppression. As a result of inheritance, in 1579, Tuchoraz passed to Jaroslav Smiřický of Smiřice , who linked it with his rule Schwarzkosteletz. Around 1770 the fort was largely demolished and the building material used to build the stately pond fortifications. The town of Tuchoraz sank again into a village. For 1869 there are 558 inhabitants. In 1991 there were 326.
