Milčice (German Miltschitz ; older also Milschitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located three kilometers northwest of Pečky and belongs to the Okres Nymburk .
geography
Milčice is to the right of Milčický potok on the Bohemian Table. In the north the motorway D 11 / European route 67 passes, the next exit is 25 Sadská . The railway line from Prague to Kolín runs south of the village, and the “Tatce” train station is near Milčice.
Neighboring towns are Kačín and Sadská in the north, Kostelní Lhota in the northeast, Vrbová Lhota in the east, Velké Chvalovice in the southeast, Chotutice in the south, Tatce in the southwest, Hořany , Černá Obora and Poříčany in the west and Vycherov and Třebestovice in the northwest.
history
The first written mention of the village was in 1294 as the property of the chapter on Vyšehrad . Milčice later became part of the Přerov rule and was confiscated by Ferdinand I in 1547 from the property of the Prague cities because of participation in the anti-Habsburg class uprising . After that the village was part of the lordship Podiebrad . In 1808 a meteorite fell near Milčice.
In 1845, the Kaiser Ferdinand Northern Railway from Vienna via Olomouc to Prague was completed south of the village . After the abolition of patrimonial Milčice formed a municipality in the Poděbrady district from 1850 . In 1961 the community came to Okres Nymburk . Since 2007 the Tatce station near Milčice has been served by Esko Prague on the S1 Praha Masarykovo nádraží - Kolín line.
