Opolánky (German Klein Opolan ) is a district of the municipality of Opolany in the Czech Republic. It lies nine kilometers east of Poděbrady and belongs to the Okres Nymburk .

geography

Opolánky is located on both sides of the Sánský kanál on the East Bohemian Table. The Oškobrh ( Wolfsberg ) rises to the north , the Cidlina flows to the south . The railway line Velký Osek – Trutnov runs through the village, the railway station in Opolánky is called "Sány".

Neighboring towns are Oškobrh in the north, Hradčany and Báň in the north-east, Badra, Libněves and Dobšice in the east, Sány in the south, Opolany in the west and Mlýnek, Odřepsy and Vlkov pod Oškobrhem in the north-west.

history

The Oberoppolan family settlement was established in 1777 as part of the raabization of the Kolín rule on the left bank of the Sánský kanál. The village originally consisted of a row of houses that were laid out in a rectangular shape around the central village square.

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Oberoppolan / Hořejší Opolany 1850 a district of the municipality Odřepsy District Poděbrady . Later, the names Malé Opolany and Horné Opolany were used. In 1870 the railway from Groß Wossek to Wostromer started operating . In 1898 the municipality of Opolánky was established with the districts of Oškobrh and Badra. In 1919 Oškobrh became independent. On January 1, 1961, Opolánky was incorporated into Opolany and at the same time came to Okres Nymburk. In 1991 the place had 172 inhabitants. In 2001 the village consisted of 83 houses in which 151 people lived.
