František Kordač
František Kordač (born January 11, 1852 in Seletice , † April 26, 1934 in Zbraslav ) was Archbishop of Prague .
Life
František Kordač, who came from a peasant family, was ordained a priest on June 15, 1878 and then worked in pastoral care. He was nominated Archbishop of Prague on September 16, 1919 and was introduced to his office on October 26 of the same year. Kordač was the first Bohemian primate who did not belong to the nobility.
He received his episcopal ordination from the then Nuncio of Austria, Teodoro Valfrè di Bonzo . After his resignation on July 12, 1931, Pope Pius XI appointed him . on July 21 d. J. Titular Bishop of Amasea. His grave is in the St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague .
