Anton Peter Count Příchovský von Příchovice (German Przichowsky von Przichowitz ) (born August 28, 1707 in welding ; † April 14, 1793 ) was the 21st Archbishop of Prague .

Live and act

Příchovský came from a long-established West Bohemian noble family. He studied theology in Rome and Prague . In 1731 he received the priesthood and graduated at the Charles University in Prague for a doctor of theology . On November 19, 1752 he was appointed episcopal coadjutor and successor in office and appointed auxiliary bishop in Prague and titular bishop of Hemesa .

Between 1754 and 1763 Příchovský was Bishop of Königgrätz . After the death of the Prague Archbishop Johann Moritz Gustav von Manderscheid-Blankenheim , Příchovský was his successor and was enthroned on May 13, 1764.

During his tenure, the new Archbishop's Palace was built on Hradschiner Platz , which has been preserved in its former form to this day.

He found his final resting place in St. Vitus Cathedral .
