Andreas Alois Ankwicz von Skarbek-Poslawice (also: Andreas Alois Skarbek Ankvicz von Poslavice ; Polish: Andrzej Alojzy Ankwicz ; Czech: Ondřej Alois Ankwicz ze Skarbek-Poslawice ; born June 22, 1777 in Krakow ; † March 26, 1838 ) was Archbishop of Lviv and from Prague .

Life

Andreas Alois Ankwicz studied in Cracow and Vienna and was ordained a priest on September 2, 1810 . He was then a canon in Olomouc , where he was appointed rector of the seminary and the theological faculty.

On 25 March 1815 Andreas Alois Ankwicz was archbishop of Lviv nominated and on 15 August the same year by the Olomouc archbishop Maria Thaddeus of Trautmannsdorff ordained . He supported the politics of the Habsburgs and in 1827 was appointed Primate of Galicia by Emperor Franz II .

On September 30, 1833, he was transferred to the Archbishopric of Prague.
