The work will be removed from the program again after the second performance.
• March 5 : World premiere of the opera Guido et Ginèvra ou La Peste de Florence by Jacques Fromental Halévy in Paris
• March 6th : The comedy woe to him who lies! Franz Grillparzer is premiered at the old Vienna Burgtheater on Michaelerplatz. Grillparzer took the material from the Historia Francorum by Gregory of Tours . The play met with incomprehension from the audience and triggered a scandal after the performance, which moved Grillparzer to withdraw from the public.
