  • April 25 : In the second chamber of the Baden Estates Assembly , the MP Franz Joseph Buß first denounced social problems caused by industrialization in a German parliament . In his factory speech , he also called for auxiliary funds for sick people and work accident victims fed from employer contributions, notice periods, a maximum of 14 hours of working time, restriction of child labor, factory supervision and professional training for workers. His application will not be pursued.
