Manuel García de la Huerta Pérez (* 1837 in Santiago de Chile , † June 9, 1889 ibid) was a Chilean politician .

The son of the politician Pedro Vicente García de la Huerta Saravia attended the Instituto Nacional and completed a law degree at the Universidad de Chile in 1861 as a lawyer. He then worked as a lawyer in Santiago and joined the Partido Liberal . He was a MP for Quinchao for the 1864-67 election period. From 1876 to 1879 he was again elected as a Member of Parliament, this time for Santiago, and was first Vice-President of Parliament from 1876 to 1877.

In the government of Aníbal Pintos he was 1877-78 Minister of War and the Navy and 1880-81 Minister of Justice and Culture and Deputy Minister of War and Navy. He was also a Member of Parliament for Angol from 1879–82 and President of Parliament from 1881–82. In 1882 he was appointed to the State Council, and from 1882 to 1888 he was a senator and a member of the Government's Permanent Commission on Foreign Affairs, War and the Navy and (1885–86) a member of the Comisión Conservadora para el Receso .

Under President José Manuel Balmaceda he was again Minister for War and Navy from 1887-88. For the period 1889-1894 he was re-elected as senator, but died at the beginning of his term of office. His son Manuel García de la Huerta Izquierdo also embarked on a career as a politician.
