The fire rooster ( Dingyou , Chinese  丁酉 , Pinyin dīngyǒu ) is the 34th year of the Chinese calendar (see table 天 支 60-year cycle). It is a term from the field of Chinese astrology and denotes the lunar years that are linked by a connection of the fourth heavenly stem ( , dīng , element fire and Yīn ) with the tenth earth branch ( , yǒu ), symbolized by the rooster ( , ), are characterized.
