The fire hare ( Dingmao , Chinese  丁卯 , Pinyin dīngmǎo ) is the 4th year of the Chinese calendar (see table 天 支 60-year cycle). It is a term from the field of Chinese astrology and denotes the lunar years that are linked by a connection between the fourth celestial stem ( , dīng , element fire and Yīn ) and the fourth earth branch ( , mǎo ), symbolized by the hare ( , ), are characterized.
