The Earth Rooster ( Jiyou , Chinese  己酉 , Pinyin jǐyǒu ) is the 46th year of the Chinese calendar (see table 天 支 60-year cycle). It is a term from the field of Chinese astrology and denotes those lunar years that are linked by a connection between the sixth heavenly stem ( , , element earth and Yīn ) and the tenth earth branch ( , yǒu ), symbolized by the rooster ( , ), are characterized.
