The metal rabbit ( Xinmao ( Chinese  辛卯 , Pinyin xīnmǎo )) is the 28th year of the Chinese calendar (see table 天 支 60-year cycle). It is a term from the field of Chinese astrology and describes those lunar years that are linked by a connection between the eighth celestial stem ( , xīn , element metal and Yīn ) and the fourth earth branch ( , mǎo ), symbolized by the hare ( , ), are characterized.
