The metal snake ( Xinsi ( Chinese  辛巳 , Pinyin xīnsì )) is the 18th year of the Chinese calendar (see table 天 支 60-year cycle). It is a term from the field of Chinese astrology and denotes the lunar years that are connected to the eighth celestial stem ( , xīn , element metal and Yīn ) with the sixth earth branch ( , ), symbolized by the snake ( , shé ), are characterized.
