The fire sheep ( Dingwei , Chinese  丁未 , Pinyin dīngwèi ) is the 44th year of the Chinese calendar (see table 天 支 60-year cycle). It is a term from the field of Chinese astrology and denotes those lunar years that are symbolized by the sheep ( , yáng ) through a connection of the fourth heavenly stem ( , dīng , element fire and Yīn ) with the eighth earth branch ( , wèi ) ), are characterized.
