The earth dragon ( Wuchen , Chinese  戊辰 , Pinyin wùchén ) is the 5th year of the Chinese calendar (see table 天 支 60-year cycle). It is a term from the field of Chinese astrology and describes those lunar years that are linked by a connection between the fifth celestial stem ( , , element earth and Yáng ) and the fifth earth branch ( , chén ), symbolized by the dragon ( , lóng ), are characterized.
