The fire pig ( Dinghai , Chinese  丁亥 , Pinyin dīnghài ) is the 24th year of the Chinese calendar (see table 天 支 60-year cycle). It is a term from the field of Chinese astrology and describes those lunar years that are linked by the connection of the fourth heavenly stem ( amm , dīng , element fire and Yīn ) with the twelfth earth branch ( , hài ), symbolized by the pig ( , zhū ), are characterized.
