The earth dog ( Wuxu , Chinese  戊戌 , Pinyin wùxū ) is the 35th year of the Chinese calendar (see table 天 支 60-year cycle). It is a term from the field of Chinese astrology and describes those lunar years that are linked by a connection of the fifth heavenly stem ( amm , , element earth and Yáng ) with the eleventh earth branch ( , ), symbolized by the dog ( , gǒu ), are characterized.
