Roman Empire
- Around the turn of the year, Tiberius Gemellus , who was originally named in his will as the successor to the emperor Tiberius, who died the previous year, is killed on Caligula's orders because he is suspected of having exploited an illness of the emperor to conspire against him.
- Marcus Aquila Iulianus and Publius Nonius Asprenas become consuls in the Roman Empire , Servius Asinius Celer and Sextus Nonius Quintilianus suffect consuls .
