Roman Empire
- Gaius Caecina Largus assumes the office of ordinary consul in the Roman Empire at the side of Emperor Claudius . Claudius, however, only holds office for two months and then hands it over to Gaius Cestius Gallus , and from September then to Cornelius Lupus as a suffect consul .
