Cornelius Lupus
Cornelius Lupus († around 47, full name probably Cornelius Lentulus Lupus ) was a Roman politician and senator .
He was proconsul of the province of Creta et Cyrene during the reign of Emperor Tiberius . In September 42 he became a suffect consul as the successor to Emperor Claudius and Gaius Cestius Gallus . He was friends with Claudius, who nevertheless had him killed at the instigation of Publius Suillius Rufus .
