Roman Empire
- After the death of King Archelaus in the previous year, the Roman Emperor Tiberius put an end to the independent kingdom of Cappadocia and integrated it into the empire as the imperial province of Cappadocia .
- Lucius Apronius replaces Marcus Furius Camillus as proconsul of the province of Africa . Nor can he decisively contain the uprising of the Numidians under Tacfarinas .

- In China , the poor economic situation caused by wars and rampant corruption lead to a revolt of the Red Eyebrows .
