The fire dragon ( Bingchen , Chinese  丙辰 , Pinyin bǐngchén ) is the 53rd year of the Chinese calendar (see table 天 支 60-year cycle). It is a term from the field of Chinese astrology and describes those lunar years that are linked by a connection between the third celestial stem ( , bǐng , element fire and Yáng ) with the fifth earth branch ( , chén ), symbolized by the dragon ( , lóng ), are characterized.
