The wooden dog ( Jiaxu , Chinese  甲戌 , Pinyin jiǎxū ) is the 11th year of the Chinese calendar (see table 天 支 60-year cycle). It is a term from the field of Chinese astrology and describes those lunar years that are linked by a connection between the first heavenly stem ( , jiǎ , element wood and Yáng ) with the eleventh branch of the earth ( , ), symbolized by the dog ( , gǒu ), are characterized.
