癸卯

The water hare ( Guimao , Chinese  癸卯 , Pinyin guǐmǎo ) is the 40th year of the Chinese calendar (see table 天 支 60-year cycle). It is a term from the field of Chinese astrology and describes those lunar years that are linked by a connection between the tenth heavenly stem ( 癸 , guǐ , element wood and yin ) and the fourth earth branch ( 卯 , mǎo ), symbolized by the hare ( 兔 , tù ), are characterized.
