- Burgundy War : Chlothar I , Chlodomer and Childebert I , kings of the Franconian Empire , invade Burgundy , while King Sigismund is threatened by the rift with Theodoric the Great and his war preparations. Sigismund and his brother Godomar II are defeated by the Franks , but are able to escape. Sigismund is betrayed to Chlodomer and taken prisoner.
