The Earth Pig ( Jihai , Chinese  己亥 , Pinyin jǐhài ) is the 36th year of the Chinese calendar (see table 天 支 60-year cycle). It is a term from the field of Chinese astrology and denotes those lunar years that are linked by a connection of the sixth heavenly stem ( , , element earth and Yīn ) with the twelfth earth branch ( , hài ), symbolized by the pig ( , zhū ), are characterized.
