Politics and world events
- Imperial crisis of the 3rd century : Emperor Probus takes action in the Roman province of Asia against rebellious Isaurians who are plundering through Asia Minor under their leader Lydius . Probus sends a force, possibly the Legio II Parthica , into the unrest region, which forces the rebels to retreat to the heavily fortified Kremna in Pisidia . Despite an extensive siege, the Romans can allegedly only take the city through treason. Lydius is fatally hit by an arrow shot by a defector, whereupon his followers surrender.
- Furthermore, the Nubian Blemmyes in Egypt , who have already taken the cities of Koptus and Ptolemais , are repulsed . This ensures the grain deliveries for Rome .
science and technology
- Time of the Three Kingdoms : After the arrest of a grave robber in China of the Western Jin Dynasty , numerous books of bamboo annals can be seized . The government pays close attention to this matter and sends numerous officials to translate the bamboo books because the seal script of the Wei Kingdom differs from the relatively common seal script of the Qin Dynasty .
