Roman Empire
- Imperial crisis of the 3rd century : After successes against the Alamanni , Proculus is proclaimed anti -emperor by the citizens of Lugdunum ( Lyon ) . After Emperor Probus ' return from the fighting against the Sassanid Empire , this Proculus pushes north, where he tries unsuccessfully to get support from the Franks . Proculus is betrayed and delivered to Probus.
- At the same time as Proculus - possibly together with him - Bonosus was proclaimed anti -emperor in Cologne.
- After the emperor Probus sets off for the west of the empire , soldiers and citizens of Egypt bring Julius Saturninus in Alexandria to be appointed counter-emperor. Before Probus can react to the new threat, Saturninus is murdered.

- The Jin Emperor Wu conquers the empire of the Wu dynasty and unites the empire of China , which has been divided since 220 . The time of the Three Kingdoms in Chinese history ends with it.
