- After ten months of siege, the Attic general Timotheos conquered the capital of the island of Samos . He drives out the population and settles Attic citizens (" clergy ") in the city.
- The Macedonian regent Ptolemy of Aloros is killed in an attempted murder by King Perdiccas III. to the victim. A few years earlier, Ptolemy had Perdiccas's brother murdered in order to gain reign.
- Thebes begins building its own navy.
