Seleucid Empire
- Cleopatra Thea denies her husband Demetrios II , who was defeated by Alexander II Zabinas in the battle of the previous year , entry into Ptolemais and Tire . When he is finally murdered, she succeeds him as regent of the Seleucid Empire . She had her eldest son Seleukos V murdered that same year. She subsequently rules for her younger son Antiochus VIII Epiphanes.
Roman Republic
- Marcus Fulvius Flaccus becomes consul of the Roman Republic . He is the Senate commissioned Massilia against the looting of salyes support. He subsequently conquered large parts of Gallia Narbonensis .
- Lucius Opimius puts down an uprising in the city of Fregellae .
