Roman Empire
- Gaius Sempronius Gracchus becomes a Roman tribune for the first time and applies for the Leges Semproniae to continue the Gracchian reform of his brother Tiberius Sempronius Gracchus from the year 133 BC. Chr.
- After the conquest of Gallia Narbonensis , Marcus Fulvius Flaccus returns to Rome in a triumphal procession .
- Rome conquers the Balearic Islands . Quintus Caecilius Metellus Balearicus founds the cities of Pol lèntia (today Alcúdia ) and Palma (from Latin palma , palm of victory).
- Gaius Sempronius Gracchus founds a Roman colony in Taranto ( colonia Neptunia ).
- 123 / v 122nd BC : The Lex iudiciaria , a law of Gaius Sempronius Gracchus , which reforms the judiciary of the Roman Republic in favor of the equestrian order and at the expense of the senators , is passed. However, whether this is one or more laws and whether this law (eswerk) includes the entire judicial system or only refers to the repetition procedure is still not clearly clarified in research.
Seleucid Empire
- The Seleucid ruler Antiochus VIII decisively defeats the usurper Alexander II Zabinas in the field battle. Alexander is caught on the run and executed a little later.
