- Summer: Augustan Alpine campaigns : After the subjugation of Ligurian tribes by the Romans , the province of Alpes Maritimae is established under the administration of a knightly prefect .
- The Romans conquer the Celtic settlement of Borbetomagus and convert it into the fortified Civitas Vangionum , today's Worms .
- The Roman settlement Vibidenum is being built near present-day Sterzing .
- In the vicinity of today's Epfach , a Roman road station is being built with around 80 soldiers and horsemen, whose task it is to secure the crossing of the Via Claudia with the old salt road , which , coming from Iuvavum , crossed the river here and then leads to Cambodunum .
