- In his third year of reign (553 to 552 BC), the Babylonian king Nabonid proclaimed the leap month Addaru II , which began on March 20th ( beginning of spring : March 21st).
- In the Babylonian calendar , the Babylonian New Year of Nisannu 1 falls on the 19th – 20th. April; the full moon in Nisannu on the 3rd – 4th May and the 1st Tašritu on the 13th-14th October.
