Politics and world events

Legend has it that Lucius Tarquinius Superbus becomes the seventh king of Rome after Tullia , Tarquinius' lover and daughter of the sixth king Servius Tullius , murdered her father. Tarquinius, grandson of the fifth Roman king Lucius Tarquinius Priscus , then systematically eliminates his domestic political opponents and all potential avenger for the murder of Tullius in Rome and reverses his predecessor's political reforms. Tarquinius is one of the three Etruscan kings in Rome, whose historicity is doubted by some ancient historians , but is largely accepted by Etruscology , at least in its core.

Culture and sport

For the first time there are demonstrably competitions between tragedy poets at the Dionysia . The poet Thespis performs the first tragedy by giving the singing and dancing choir of the 7th century BC. For the first time , the dithyramb created in BC is juxtaposed with a single actor.
